Bangle Size Guide
Find your bangle size before you order. We use Indian bangle sizes, from 2.2 to 2.12.
Size chart
| Size | Inner diameter (inches) | Inner diameter (mm, approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| 2.2 | 2⅛ | 54 |
| 2.4 | 2¼ | 57 |
| 2.6 | 2⅜ | 60 |
| 2.8 | 2½ | 64 |
| 2.10 | 2⅝ | 67 |
| 2.12 | 2¾ | 70 |
How Indian sizes work
The number after the dot counts sixteenths of an inch. Size 2.4 means 2 and 4/16 inches, which is 2¼ inches. Size 2.10 means 2 and 10/16 inches, so it is larger than size 2.8.
Measure a bangle you own
- Pick a bangle that slips on easily and fits you well.
- Lay it flat on a ruler.
- Measure straight across the inside, from inner edge to inner edge, at the widest point.
- Find the closest match in the chart.
Measure with a thread
- Bring your thumb in towards your little finger, as if you are slipping on a bangle.
- Wrap a thread or a thin strip of paper around the widest part of your hand, across the knuckles.
- Mark where the thread meets, then measure that length in millimetres.
- Divide the length by 3.14 to get the diameter, then find the closest match in the chart.
For example, a thread length of 180 mm divided by 3.14 gives about 57 mm, which is size 2.4.
Tips for the right fit
- If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one.
- Measure in the evening, when your hands are slightly fuller.
- Openable kadas and bracelets can fit a range of sizes. Check the product page for details.
- Sizes can vary slightly between designs.
